Fri 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Start Date: October 07, 2016  End Date: November 18, 2016
Instructor Name:
Conn, Ric
Room Number:
Course Description:

This class begins with a brief review of external anatomy. An understanding of the external anatomy of our animal friends is a valuable tool in creating the paintings. Additionally, the nature of gouache, and the different brushstrokes will be reviewed.
Color—both paint and fur/feather—is a primary component of painting animals, and understanding both is crucial. We will explore both color mixing of paint and how we see color in fur and feathers.
We will next explore the fundamentals of painting in gouache, as well as composition and overall presentations. Compositional design, subject size and placement, color mixing, color application, matting and framing will all be covered. Email the instructor for more information and supply list at No class 10/21/16.
