Course Description: 

At this level, emphasis is placed on perfecting technique and developing artistry to bridge the gap between advanced student and pre-professional training. Prerequisite: At least 6-7 years of ballet training plus at least 4 years of pointe training, mastery of all the Intermediate 3 Technique and Pointe syllabus, faculty approval and/or placement audition. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 technique classes per week, additional pointe classes on Monday and Friday, partnering on Wednesdays and an LA/NY Jazz cross training course. Modern is highly recommended for Advanced students and required for trainees. The attire for all classes, except where otherwise noted, is as follows: Girls: Black BTM leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Please Note: BTM's black leotard may be purchased exclusively through BTM. Order forms are available on the website,, or by calling our office at 410-263-8289. Forms will also be available in classrooms the first few weeks of class. No jewelry allowed. Hair must be neatly pulled back from the face into a bun. Boys: White t-shirt, black tights, and white or black ballet slippers.
