Artist in Residence and Gallery Space Call to Artists

Maryland Hall invites artists and artist groups to apply throughout the year to exhibit in our galleries and exhibit spaces as well as to apply for the Artist-in-Residence program as studios are available.  

To be considered to exhibit in the galleries:

Individual Artists: To apply as an individual artist please email all application requirements to Exhibitions Coordinator, Emily Kohlenstein, at or call 410-263-5544 ext. 31.

Application Requirements:





Brief description of proposed exhibit

Attachments: Resume, artist statement, and three high-res images of your work (please name your image: Last name, first name, title of work, media)

*applications will not be considered unless these guidelines are followed*

Artist Groups: Artist groups or organizations should include 10-20 images of artists whose work will be represented in the proposed exhibition. A brief statement (no more than one page) about the proposed exhibition and the work it encompasses (in lieu of individual artist statements).  Please email Exhibition Coordinator at with this information.

Artist-in-Residence Call to Artists

Maryland Hall is currently accepting applications for space in the SPACE 305 AIR Program and the Long Term AIR Program. Rent is $125 per month and $300 for larger Long Term Studio Space.  Applications accepted on an ongoing basis. 


  • Long-term studio spaces can accommodate artist residing in the Annapolis/Anne Arundel County region.

  • Short-term studio spaces can accommodate artists residing within or without MD.
