    This class is VIRTUAL. The Basics I class is for beginners and almost-beginners. We start with the basic ballet positions and simplest steps. This class is an extension of the introduction to the art of classical ballet, including barre, centre and stretch exercises. Some previous training recommended or by permission of instructor. Attire: Women: leotards, tights, skirts, warm-up pants. Hair should be pulled neatly off the face so it does not inhibit movement. Men: T-shirt, jazz pants, sweats or tights. This class is an introduction to the art of classical ballet for the novice, including the basic positions of the arms and feet, the basic exercises of the ballet barre and centre, plus exercises for strength and flexibility. This class is a great way to work out and get into shape for the dance enthusiast. Prerequisite: none. Attire: Women: leotards, tights, skirts, warm-up pants.
