    This course will introduce students to the exciting possibilities of fused glass. Over four weeks, students will learn to cut, fuse, and slump glass. This jam packed class will cover many techniques to create jewelry, functional dishes, wall hangings and decorative art. This class is ideal for beginners and new glass fusers who want to improve their technique and understanding of fused glass. Need glass cutting practice then this class is for you.     This is a fun introduction to kiln formed glass, an amazing material with endless possibilities. In this 2.5 hour workshop students will learn how to cut glass and create a beautiful fused glass dish or bowl. Recycled glass, pattern bar pieces and stringer will be used to create one of a kind a 9 inch by 9 inch dish or bowl. This class is suited for students of all skill levels. Beginners are welcome. Simple instructions helps all students create these plates by designing from their own imagination, with help as needed from instructor. No experience necessary for this 2 and a half hour class.     Create your own 4x8" or 6x6" fused glass plate. Students will learn the basics of glass cutting and the tools that are used. You can then design your piece using colored glass, stencils with glass powders, glass stringers, and frit. The instructor will full fuse and slump plate.
