Learn how to use your camera to its fullest potential! Get out of “automatic mode” and take better photos by adjusting your aperture, shutter speed, ISO/film speed, exposure compensation, exposure mode, white balance and much more. DSLR, mirrorless and film cameras that have the classic P, A/Av, S/Tv and M exposure modes are welcome. iPhones/Androids are welcome if you have an advanced photography app, such as ProCamera, that allows you to adjust the above topics. Learn the techniques required to capture great night photos of downtown Annapolis! Bundle up as we visit iconic Annapolis locations, decked out for the holidays. We’ll address how to use exposure modes, exposure compensation, white balance and ISO to guarantee great results. A tripod and camera with exposure modes such as shutter priority and manual is required for this class. A remote shutter release is recommended but not required. Bring your camera, tripod and instruction manual to the first session. Students provide their own transportation. Field trips will require considerable walking.
