    In this fun workshop you will learn how to create your own unique journal using an old hardcover book. We will learn how to prepare the pages using gesso or acrylics. Then we will practice a few different techniques using some of our discarded pages as scratch paper. We will experiment with decoupage, paper "stitching" and coloring.Materials:Used or discarded hardcover book (look for sturdy binding, no broken back, thick pages, mid sized , around 8" x 6 ", fun illustrations is a plus);  wax paper; xacto knife; black and white gesso; clear modge podge, magazines,  flat brush  1" wide; paper towel; plastic gift card or hotel key card.  Optional:  any other supplies you might have( like acrylics, crayons, colored pens, charcoal, scrapbooking paper. etc.) For more information, please contact the intstructor at renata_mastroti@yahoo.com.

    Level: Confident and intermediate level students. Over the course of this 8 week class students will develop their own individual feel for the medium of watercolor. We will be working on projects that expand our sense of the techniques and expressive uses of watercolor while also addressing the formal concerns of composition, color relationships, line, value range, perspective, form and spatial depth. Students will work directly “from life”, from photo references and from their imagination. There will be emphasis on the individual student’s artistic visions and goals as well as many demonstrations and encouragement through group critiques. In this four week class students will learn advance glass cutting techniques to cut their own glass circles and create a beautiful bowl or dish. Students will learn how to create cane and murrine and be introduced to the vitrigraph kiln. All skill levels are welcome. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the many makes and models of drones, their price ranges and capabilities, the rules and regulations of flying them, and how to best use your drone to take dramatic aerial landscapes and action videos.     In this six-week hands on class students will improve their handbuilding skills . We will use patterns and molds to construct different shapes. Students will explore surface decoration and mark making. We will learn how to make different feet and handles. By the end of the session students will complete three to four projects. There will be a weekly scheduled time to drop off pieces to be fired and a glazing session at the last class. This class will have a materials fee of $35 to cover: 25lb of clay, glazes, firing fee PLUS underglaze decals. No class on 4/27/2021.
