Wellness Classes at Maryland Hall

Some are surprised to discover we offer wellness classes at an arts center. Here, we practice the Art of Wellness with health and fitness classes aligned to creativity. Take pilates, barre, yoga (including the only place in Annapolis for YogAlign) and Tai Chi in a welcoming studio space. Currently offering virtual classes, you can enjoy live and "anytime" online instruction from local teachers in your living room. 

 
 
 

What I am impressed by most is the sense of community within Maryland Hall. It’s more than teacher – Student or Teacher – Teacher relationships. Being part of Maryland Hall is being part of a creative sharing community. It doesn’t end when the class ends. The people, smiles, creativity, and experiences become a part of me.

    Open to All. Chair YogAlign is adapted for individuals who have a preference or need to practice yoga with the support of a chair. Whether sitting, standing, or balancing - a chair is at the ready. Poses are safe and accessible; instructions include recognizing and honoring one’s breath and body awareness for safe movement. Chair YogAlign improves; agility, balance, posture, strength, and overall feeling of well-being.     Open to All. Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a powerful guided meditation that eases you from stress mode into relaxation response - your body’s natural healing state, where revitalization and regeneration naturally occur. Extremely accessible, Nidra is practiced while laying comfortably on a blanketed yoga mat or sitting in an easy chair. You are invited to simply rest while guided into a state of deep relaxation.
