Wellness Classes at Maryland Hall
Some are surprised to discover we offer wellness classes at an arts center. Here, we practice the Art of Wellness with health and fitness classes aligned to creativity. Take pilates, barre, yoga (including the only place in Annapolis for YogAlign) and Tai Chi in a welcoming studio space. Currently offering virtual classes, you can enjoy live and "anytime" online instruction from local teachers in your living room.
What I am impressed by most is the sense of community within Maryland Hall. It’s more than teacher – Student or Teacher – Teacher relationships. Being part of Maryland Hall is being part of a creative sharing community. It doesn’t end when the class ends. The people, smiles, creativity, and experiences become a part of me.

This class is for students who have learned the first third or more of the Tai Chi Chuan Yang style short form. Students will continue the choreography of the remaining T’ai Chi chuan movements and postures. The Basics II class is for the mature adult with some ballet background. Additional barre and centre exercises, including simple turns and jumps, will be added as the class level permits; however, students are encouraged to go at their own pace. Dress: Female: leotard and tights, or other comfortable clothes for moving, and ballet slippers; Male: t-shirt and tights (or shorts, if desired) or other comfortable clothes for moving, and ballet slippers.
