Wellness Classes at Maryland Hall

Some are surprised to discover we offer wellness classes at an arts center. Here, we practice the Art of Wellness with health and fitness classes aligned to creativity. Take pilates, barre, yoga (including the only place in Annapolis for YogAlign) and Tai Chi in a welcoming studio space. Currently offering virtual classes, you can enjoy live and "anytime" online instruction from local teachers in your living room. 

 
 
 

What I am impressed by most is the sense of community within Maryland Hall. It’s more than teacher – Student or Teacher – Teacher relationships. Being part of Maryland Hall is being part of a creative sharing community. It doesn’t end when the class ends. The people, smiles, creativity, and experiences become a part of me.

    This class is for students who have learned the Tai Chi Chuan form. It covers all 37 postures and focuses on a deeper awareness of the subtle aspects of Tai Chi.     This class is for students who have completed the first third or more of the Tai Chi Chuan Yang style short form or wish to refresh their form as they return to Tai Chi. Students will continue the choreography of the remaining T’ai Chi chuan movements and postures. YogAlign is a unique practice with easy and safe techniques that support optimal functionality of all bodily systems. Some results are improvements in posture, clarity, core strength, flexibility, balance, energy level and body awareness. YogAlign is an accessible and sustainable practice for every body and respectful of individual differences and challenges. Please bring a yoga mat to class.
