Children of all ages will enjoy working with a parent to arrange brightly colored pieces of glass which will be heated in a kiln to fuse them together to make glass summer suncatchers. Projects will require overnight cooling and will be available for pick up the following week. A materials fee of $5 per project will be due at the end of class. Learners will explore multiple ways of creating a moving image. Watch in amazement as your artful drawings come to life through stop-motion, Claymation, and hand drawn animation. Students may work both individually or collaboratively, and will be provided a camera and tripod to create their work. All artists will take home a digital compilation of all their works at the end of the course. This course features new and challenging projects for returning students. Step into the mindset of a concept artist, and create a character that is uniquely yours. Learn how illustrators flesh out characters at every step of the process in videogames, animated movies, and graphic novels -- all while finding your own illustrative style! Students may choose to work in traditional drawing and painting materials provided by the instructor, or may bring their own tablet with them to work digitally. If you are working digitally, the Procreate App is preferred but alternatives can be suggested for android users. A materials fee of $15 is due to the instructor at the first class if your child is not using a tablet. No class 10/15.

THis class is for 11 1/2 yrs+. A natural progression from Classical Ballet 4. Three to four years of previous ballet training necessary. A complete barre, port de bras, adage, petit allegro, grand allegro, classical ballet intricate dances and appropriate character dances are included. Also this level also stresses a greater emphasis on inward and outward pirouette, and across the floor turns. CB 5 Dress Code: Girls: Royal Academy of Dance Faith leotard in Red, pink tights, pink Bloch ballet shoes, black RAD character shoes and character dancing skirt. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, and white Bloch ballet shoes and black character shoes. At this level, registration in two technique classes per week is required. This class is the beginning of formalized classical ballet, including barre, centre, and stretch exercises. Note: Students must be age 8 on or before July 1, 2022 or by audition or faculty approval. This class is for ages 12 1/2+ This level is a natural progression from Classical Ballet 5. Four to five years of previous ballet training necessary. CB6 is highly choreographed, stressing the performance aspect of ballet on stage. The dance exercises featured are extremely performance oriented and a stage quality is hopefully enforced. Three classes a week are recommended in order to be eligible to take the RAD exam.
