Children of all ages will enjoy working with a parent to arrange brightly colored pieces of glass which will be heated in a kiln to fuse them together to make their favorite Pokemon characters and mythical creatures. They can be made into glass jewelry, nightlights, coasters or suncatchers. This is the perfect chance to capture your favorite characters in a new medium. Projects will require overnight cooling and will be available for pick up the following week. A materials fee of $5 per project will be due at the end of class. Led by a Board Certified Music Therapist, this inclusive group of kids with and without disabilities, as well as teen and young adult volunteer musicians, will have the opportunity to make music and build relationships while working together toward performance opportunities. This class is the basic, entry-level class for the beginning tap and jazz student with an emphasis on the musical theater performing style. Rudimentary skills are developed while learning proper terminology, rhythm and musicality with an added emphasis on strenght and flexibility. Students should be at least 8 years old on or before April 1, 2022. The attire for class is as follows: Girls: Black leotard, tights or socks, shorts (optional), black tap shoes and black jazz shoes; Boys: Shirt, pants or shorts, black tap shoes, and black jazz shoes. Hair should be pulled back off the face into a neat bun or short ponytail. Students must own tap shoes to enroll in this class. Students are invited to participate with both modeling clay and model magic (air-dry clay), as we create sculptures in a different theme each day.
