Inspired by traditional and contemporary illustrations that include everything from Chinese scrolls to comic strips, we will explore visual ways to tell stories - then tell our own! Exercises might include using collage to illustrate a scene, make a flip-book or using a grid format to tell a story. Students will learn about narration, making characters, setting and the relationships between text and illustrations. The end result is one that you write and illustrate in your own creative way.
