Children of all ages will enjoy working with a parent to arrange brightly colored pieces of glass which will be heated in a kiln to fuse them together to make their favorite Pokemon characters and mindcraft creatures. They can be made into glass jewelry, nightlights, coasters or suncatchers. This is the perfect chance to capture your favorite characters in a new medium. Projects will require overnight cooling and will be available for pick up the following week. A materials fee of $5 per project will be due at the end of class. Improvisation is a team sport! In this class, students will explore this fun and accessible tool utilized by actor’s as they explore creating characters and developing relationships for the stage. Students will experience the joy of creative risk taking and discover a new found confidence and appreciation for the fearless actor. Musical Autist Troupe is an inclusive group of individuals between 8-14 years old, with and without disabilities, as well as high school/college student interns, and guest musicians. Time is spent each week sharing songs with one another, which can be a recording of a favorite song, or a piece that is performed live for the group if a participant so chooses. This group is a hybrid class with in person and virtual courses led simultaneously by board certified music therapists.Group leaders often introduce music which celebrates neurodiversity, self-advocacy and empowerment. Class time is also spent rehearsing and recording songs to be performed in advocacy events facilitated by The Musical Autist non-profit. Previous music skills are a benefit, but not required.
