Child Classes and Summer Camps

Do you love Broadway musicals and love to dance? In this 6-week session, we will take the opportunity to learn modified or original choreography straight from some of the biggest shows to hit NYC stages. Routines will not include tap dancing, and no singing required! Separate session available on Wednesdays. Attire: Comfortable clothing you can move in such as athletic shorts/leggings. For existing ABSA students currently enrolled in Classical Ballet 4 and 5 (spring '23), or students aged 10-12 with at least three years ballet experience, this half day summer camp will focus on ballet technique, conditioning, and repertoire from famous ballets. We also offer a "week 2", which will have different material presented in order to create a longer camp experience. This is a ballet, tap, jazz, and tumbling sampler class. Class is independent of caregiver. Learn dance steps in ballet, jazz, and tap, work on basic tumbling skills, plus explore movement through creative imagery and props. This workshop will conclude with a showcase featuring a variety of dances. Ms. Cheryl will supply the costumes used for this performance! Don’t miss the fun!
