    A natural progression from Classical Ballet 3 with greater emphasis on correct body placement, ballet, character and free movement technique. A more complex barre, port de bras, adage, petite and grande allegros and pirouettes are now included. The character dancing also has evolved along with the lyrical free movement. Two to three years of ballet training necessary.     Student must have completed 1 or more years of pre-pointe and/or pointe work and must be taking two additional ballet classes per week to take this pointe class. Pointe shoes may be purchased at Dance Supplies in Severna Park or Footlights in Severna Park. Do not wear new pointe shoes around the house or sew ribbons or elastics on new pointe shoes until checked and approved by Mrs. Razzetti for fit and style. Even slightly worn shoes cannot be exchanged or returned. Dress code: Same as for CB4 classical ballet class.     The third class offered in the RAD vocational track combined with RAD's Repertoire syllabus which provides training in performing variations from classic ballets. The vocationasl track is designed for students with an interest in lifelong dance, performance or instruction, and the maturity, physical development and focus to continue a rigorous course of study in ballet. Both tracks offer a graded examination at the end of the year-long Advanced Foundation syllabus. Advanced Foundation Dress Code: Girls: Leotard specified by the instructor, pink tights and pink Bloch ballet shoes. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, and white Bloch ballet shoes.     A care-giver or parent is welcome to join the class if needed. Learning ballet is fun and easy with these acclaimed programs created for preschoolers. The basic ballet steps are associated with adorable flower and animal characters that make it easy to remember simple ballet terminology. The pictures of these fun characters will be seen before each exercise and will stimulate each child’s creativity and imagination. The classes will include a warmup, strengthening excises, basic motor skills and creative movement. The floor exercises will teach children the format of a dance class, special directions and working together in groups. The beautiful melodies and memorable lyrics make this ballet class a unique experience for the young child. There is a $25 materials fee due payable to Mrs. Razzetti on the first class. This is for pink (girls) or white socks (boys) and Academy Ballet School’s children’s name tag. Tiny Tots (Pre-Ballet 1 and 2) Dress Code: Girls: A white short sleeve leotard, pink ballet slippers and (pink ballet socks - available through Mrs. Razzetti on the first day).
