The third class offered in the RAD vocational track which is designed for students with an interest in lifelong dance, performance or instruction, and the maturity, physical development and focus to continue a rigorous course of study in ballet. The vocational track offers a graded examination at the end of the year-long Advanced 1 syllabus. Advanced 1 Dress Code: Girls: Leotard specified by the instructor, pink tights and pink Bloch ballet shoes. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, and white Bloch ballet shoes. A natural progression from Classical Ballet 2 with greater emphasis on correct body placement, ballet, character and free movement technique. A complete barre, port de bras, adage and petite allegro are now included. The character dancing has evolved to the Ukranian regional level and the lyrical free movement becomes more intricate. Two years of ballet training helpful. CB3 Dress Codes. Girls: Royal Academy of Dance mulberry tank leotard, pink tights, pink Bloch ballet shoes, black RAD character shoes and character dancing skirt. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, and white Bloch ballet shoes and black character shoes. Student must have completed 1 or more years of pre-pointe and/or pointe work and must be taking two additional ballet classes per week to take this pointe class. Pointe shoes may be purchased at Dance Supplies in Severna Park or Footlights in Severna Park. Do not wear new pointe shoes around the house or sew ribbons or elastics on new pointe shoes until checked and approved by Mrs. Razzetti for fit and style. Even slightly worn shoes cannot be exchanged or returned. Dress code: Same as for CB4 classical ballet class.
