After earning a writing and theatre degree from Loyola College, studying under Guggenheim Fellow, Lia Purpura, he has spent his time teaching English and theatre for the past 14 years. He created the Creative Writing curriculum for the Anne Arundel county arts magnet program, working just across the street from Maryland Hall for four of those years, so he’s thrilled to return, despite being online for the time being. He has previously taught playwriting, poetry, novel writing, and memoir writing at variety of levels and coaches students in college entrance essay writing. He currently teaches AP English Literature, Dystopian and Science Fiction, and Self-Discovery in Literature at Severn School. His favorite authors are Michael Chabon, Nathan Hill, and Olga Grushin.
