Robin Gilliam,
Art Journaling for the Caregiver
Robin M. Gilliam has been a mixed media artist for over 35 years and a caregiver since 2017 when her husband was diagnosed with cancer. Robin was also the caregiver for her aging parents, who have both recently passed, and continues to care for her husband through his journey.
She was selected to show her art in the Healing Power of Art sponsored by the past first lady of Maryland, Mrs. Hogan. She has a BA degree is in fine arts and psychology, from Goucher College. She is the author of the novel Gift of Desperation which takes us on a wild ride out of past secrets and into the healing power of art.
Robin has published articles, taught at large recovery conferences, and been featured on addiction and recovery podcasts. She shares her creative journey at www.recoveryartstudio.com
Caregiving added a new twist to Robin’s life. She is grateful for art journaling which helps her to release angst, relax her mind, and rejoice in her achievements. She is excited to teach her students how to use art journaling to help them heal their hearts and lifts their spirits.
