Ballet for Life: 30 & Beyond

I was born in Omaha, Nebraska and at the age of five and began taking ballet lessons at the Cora Quick Ballet Studio.  I continued dancing through my twenties, and although I added jazz and tap dance along the way, ballet became my main focus.  After graduating from the University of Colorado, I worked as a paralegal and then pursued a degree in law. I earned my J.D. in Law from the University of Denver in 1991 and practiced real estate and transactional law for a private firm in Denver for several years.

I am married and have two children, ages 18 and 14.  After taking time off to raise my children and volunteer in their schools, I returned to ballet four years ago and have been studying under the instruction of Barbara Owen at Maryland Hall. I am currently a member of the 40 – 60 plus Adult Ballet Teaching Staff and am honing my teaching skills under the guidance of Barbara Owen and Sheila Savannah.
