Maryland Hall Presents Healing Through the Arts: Ballet After Dark
Maryland Hall Presents Healing Through the Arts: Ballet After Dark.
This session will focus on fitness fundamentals to build strength observing Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Ballet After Dark will lead three wellness events at Maryland Hall grounded in their unique and powerful approach to healing through movement. These are part of Maryland Hall’s “Healing Through the Arts” initiative. Ballet After Dark is an organization that provides somatic interventions, trauma-informed care, dance therapy and holistic methods to encourage survivors of various levels of violence to heal their bodies using movement.
Each day will kick off with a light breakfast and include a group session followed by breakout sessions with lunch provided. A takeaway self-care box including a t-shirt is also included.
There will be a soothing decompression space available at all times. No dance experience required – just come willing to move and ready to start healing!
FREE advanced registration is required. All Ballet After Dark events are free and open to the public and may be taken individually or as a series. Additional sessions are planned for Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, April 16.
