Join us for the opening reception for Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts debuts the first all-video art exhibition ever to open in Annapolis, Glistening: Nature Mirrored in Video.   Free.  Remarks by Collector Tom Stoner and Curator Kelly Gordon.

Drawn from the collection of Annapolis-based Tom and Kitty Stoner, this survey of moving image work spans 40 years.   Over a dozen works by artists representing 11 countries, provides a 'round-the-world-through-art experience.  T‎his selection emphasizes the various ways contemporary artists adopt advanced technologies to refer to ‎an age-old, classical inspiration : Nature.  Notes curator, Kelly Gordon: “Embedded in Glistening is an antidote to today’s frenetic dynamic, which gets underscored by our obsession with various mobile devices.  ‎While enabled by similar technologies, by contrast these works slow our pace and engage us collectively. ‎ The depth of the Stoners' collection provides‎ a primer for all those curious about this flourishing dimension of contemporary art.”
