Course Description:

Have you ever used a stamp to create an image? Or dipped your hand into paint and pressed it on a surface? Then you’re already a printmaker! Take your knowledge of printmaking to the next level in this messy and fun hands-on class. During our week together, young artists will playfully explore several printmaking techniques and will work collaboratively and individually to create large and small scale prints. Students will gasp with delight as they discover the magic of pulling multiple editions of a print and explore how colors can be mixed and layered to create varied artworks. Nature walks, stories, memories and imagination will serve as inspiration as we learn to create monoprints, collographs, foam prints and gelli prints. Once familiar with the basic processes of printmaking, students will find that the possibilities are endless! Please pack a snack and a drink. A materials fee of $25 is due to the instructor on the first day of class. For more information, please contact the instructor at
