Bridges to the World Film Festival

Every Thursday February 6 - March 13 | 7 pm

World Artists Experiences and the International Division of Maryland's Office of the Secretary of State, in conjunction with Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts invite the public to attend free screenings of five international films, one each from Ukraine, Chile, Kenya, Slovenia and Thailand. The Bridges to the World International Film Series is a statewide, month-long initiative in recognition of the State's global reach and a reflection of those connections here in Maryland.

The series will run for five weeks from the first week of February through the first week of March featuring films chosen by the embassies of the respective countries. Each film will be introduced, screened and followed by a discussion. Presentations begin at 7 pm. All films will be shown with English subtitles. The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, February 6: Haytarma, Ukraine
Thursday, February 20: Mabul, Israel
Thursday, February 27: Ocean Heaven, China 
Thursday, March 6: A Stubborn Memory, Slovenia
Thursday, March 13: My Best Enemy, Chile*
*Due to inclement weather, the February 13 film will now be on March 13.
