In 1932, Annapolis High School’s Maryland Hall was built in the center of Annapolis. For 40+ years, the building has served as the region’s cultural hub in a location conveniently accessed by locals and visitors.

Getting to Know Maryland Hall

Visiting Our Campus

Start your visit from the outside. Our campus is our canvas. Discover murals, a meditative Nature Sacred labyrinth, a free sharing library, picnic tables, and an analemmatic (human) sundial. Take a walk down behind Bates Middle School to Wheems Whalen Field and connect to the Spa Creek Trail.

Visiting for a Class

Prior to your first class, your Teaching Artist will send you a welcome email with any need-to-know information ahead of class. When you arrive for your class, please head straight to your classroom to check in and start creating!

Visiting for a Performance or Event

We recommend planning to arrive at least 30 minutes before show time, or 45 minutes if you have tickets at Will Call. The Cafe at Maryland Hall is typically open for performances through intermission selling light refreshments. For performances with bar service, the MD Hall Bar is typically open through intermission serving beer and wine. Pre-show emails are sent to ticketholders with any advance need-to-know information.

Ticket Refunds: Ticket sales are final. However, in the event a ticketed event is cancelled and not rescheduled, tickets will be refunded within 30 days of the cancelled date. If you cannot make the event or need to exchange your tickets to another event, contact the Guest Services Center at info@marylandhall.org.
